- Plasma is best, can't say why but it it.. Sorry
- DLP is the best to buy, money wise. Plasma and LCD was the first, sharp and clear, but will burn out in 8-10 years, (15 yrs max) because of bulb inside, TV is thinner, to hang off the wall (easier to steal, if someone breaks in your home). Now which to buy 720pi was sharp, now it's 1080pi close to 20/20 vision. But i heard Westinghouse is making a 2160pi (ya, really, that should be way pricey) should be closer to 3-D vision. DLP (table top, projection tv) uses LED lights, which will last longer, super tiny mirrors to split the light 4-ways, allowing sharper, brighter colors, but not as thin as LCD/PLASMA. my money is on DLP, save some money. but remember your eyes are the original High Def. (that's free)...also you can get HD signal from the Air (waves), you just need the proper antenna ($100-200) to boost the signal. have fun shopping.
- LCD seriously. Plasma has burn issue (old model), new model already equipped with anti burn (make sure your TV has this function if you decide to buy plasma). DLP this one use bulb it will run out around 2-3 years and the bulb ain't cheap. But if you want to judge based on the picture different people have different opinion Plasma has high contrast and brightness while LCD has soft and nice picture.
- LCDs have very breakable plastic screens.
- My god, how can so many answerer's know so little. It's astounding! Read over these 2 sites and you will have a much better understanding of the 2 technologies, and which will probably fit your need best. If screen size is under 42", you can only get an LCD. 42" and up you can get either, with larger sizes usually being cheaper in plasma. http://www.Plasmatvbuyingguide.com http://www.LCDtvbuyingguide.com
