Can excessive gaming on say a PS3 affect or ruin my LCD television?

I have a PS3 and a 42" Samsung LCD television and I play excessively. Can this in any way affect my T.V.?

1. LCDs don't have the burn-in problems that plasmas do. The life of these TVs is usually governed by the backlights. These go dim and fail with age. But they are designed to last for years even if used every day so you won't affect it much.
2. Though it is harder to burn-in an image on an LCD HDTV, it certainly is possible. The best way to do this is to pause your game with the TV on for a very long period of time. Normal game play should create a very low risk if any.
